Lis, I strongly suggest you keep your name as it is and ad a tag line e.g.
Elizabeth Hubert – Keeping it Real UX

I think you’ve started to build a personal brand around your name. I wouldn’t mess with it. You can’t compete with say UX Magazine but they can’t compete with the personal touch of your personal brand.

Thanks Guy! This is an extremely helpful point of view… something I need to seriously consider indeed.

Glad to be of help. Should have said “add” above :-). One thing, if you go with a tag line you always have the option of changing it as  your brand evolves. You seem to be getting into writing and speaking and a personal brand suits that.

I’d suggest doing some research on tag line creation.  As you know there are different theories on how to do this, one I like is to think of it as a solution message – what is the unique solution you are offering. I rather like Whitney Hess’ tag line – Improving the human experience one day at a time.

I see you like the word “real” and “real world”. I think these are good words for you to fit in some where.

Good luck and thanks for indulging my amateur branding tendencies 🙂
