Welcome to my blog where I write about experiences that I have in the field of User Experience.

More about me

I’m an independent consultant in the User Experience field with extensive experience in website strategy design, interaction design and information architecture. I work with clients on many different levels ranging from Fortune 500 businesses to startups. Most recently I’ve had the opportunity to work with Moment Design, Inc on the redesign of their sports & entertainment client. I also recently worked with publishing group John Wiley & Sons on user testing for one of their most popular online brands. I have partnered with other clients including RAPP, AnyClip and Critical Mass on projects ranging in industries from pharma to entertainment. With each client I work to make user experiences more pleasant and enjoyable. I also do work helping other start up ventures create and define their web presence.

Before going independent, I worked with industry leader Weight Watchers International to create and enhance their online product. Prior to moving to New York, I spent time in San Antonio, where I worked as a User Experience strategist for the United Services Automobile Association (USAA), a Fortune 200 financial services company focused on serving the United States Military and their families. There I lead a team of information architects and graphic designers in a 4500 page redesign and was also responsible for defining 18 – 24 month strategic visions for the website. Before working in the user experience industry, I was a web programmer at national insurance leader The Hartford Financial Services Group based in Hartford, CT. In order to stay active and contribute to the user experience community, I volunteer as a local leader for the Interaction Design Association New York City chapter.

My undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut is in business; more specifically Management Information Systems.

Fun Time

When I’m not doing UX work you can find me either cooking up something new in the kitchen, playing rec basketball or football or taking a shot at brewing beer with my cousin up in Westchester. You might also find me walking around Yorkville, my neighborhood on NYC’s Upper East Side trying to find something new to try.
